The question that I have is why are the last 11 items not shown to be on the PCI bus? Looking at Device Manager in Windows and I see the following memory ranges when viewing the 'Resources by connection' view. I've got a question and I was just wondering if someone could help clear it up for me.įirst of all I am using a Z87 chipset motherboard. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PHOTO for more details. I just wanna make sure it's something i can live without and it will not cause any long term effect. I would very much feel better if anyone could answer this for me. The fact that the motherboard is booting up normally (all rams are detected etc) suggests it might be a pin that doesn't have any functionality, at least that's what i hope. If anyone out there can help identify the functionality of the missing pin i would very much appreciate it. I know sending it for RMA will take some time not to mention the item is in the Philippines. Although I plan to run a stress test for a day to see if the missing pin would cause any problems, so far everything looks normal and working just fine. T he motherboard seems to be working fine. I noticed my 1 week old motherboard is missing a pin in the CPU socket. I have been waiting for ASUS' reply for a couple of days now but to no avail. But since it is related to Intel processor i thought i should give it a shot here. The technicall problem i am currently experiencing is actually with Asus. I was surprise at the size of that package but it runs really cool compared to earlier technologies. Overall this board works well especially with the very cool running I7-3770. 03:43:03: Thread:3920(ERROR) : ACU Configurator, Category: Host Based Setup Discovery Source: Src\ActivatorDll.cpp : GetHostAndMEInfo Line: 3987: Error: Host-based configuration is not currently available because the Local Manageability Service (LMS.exe) is not running on the system. 03:43:03: Thread:3920(DETAIL) : ACU Configurator, Category: Host Based Setup Discovery Source: Src\ActivatorDll.cpp : GetHostAndMEInfo Line: 3929: Failed to retrieve LMS service status - Skipping Host Based Setup Discovery Here a couple of lines from the ACUConfig log. to get the Intel lms service running so the ACUConfig and see my management engine onboard? I was able to use the ACUConfig to create a profile for use with a USB key but I would prefer direct access. Trying to use the ACUConfig utility I get an error and the message in the log is: Error: Host-based configuration is not currently available because the Local Manageability Service (LMS.exe) is not running on the system. The MEBx is enabled but in full unprovision state with network turned on. RoI must be missing something simple trying to setup management on one local system. Let's make this update, to honor the trust we put in you. PLEASE MAKE THIS BIOS UPDATE, Intel, you are the biggest IT Company and a lot of persons bought your MBs for years (like me). You have the resources to update the BIOS to your MBs to support your latest Haswell Refresh CPUs. I'm only a small italian OEM and I know I can't change Intel decisions, but INTEL WAKE UP! I love Intel motherboard for its clean design, without useless 3rd party chips that causes only driver issues honestly I'm sad about the decision by Intel to leave MB market. I preferred an Intel 8-series MB rather than an Asus/MSI/etc 9-series based 'cause I use Intel motherboard for years (the oldest build is an ancient AN430TX, for Pentium MMX). I decided to build a workstation using an Intel motherboard, DH87MC, with latest Core i7 4790 Haswell Refresh CPU. I know that future Broadwell chips won't work. Power supply: Thermaltake - SMART Series 850-WattĪs most people knows, Intel 8-Series chipsets based Motherboards will work with Haswell Refresh CPUs, just a BIOS update is needed. I've uninstalled and reinstalled drivers ad infinitum using Ccleaner and DDU, updated the BIOS, cleared the CMOS, and tried different PCIe slots. The computer continues to load windows, but the monitor remains the same. Also, when installed as the only card, it shows the boot screen, but after post, the screen goes dark, with a lonely 0_ showing in the lower right. GPUz identifies the 280x, but clockspeed and voltage don't show. After I install, along with the GTX460, it's recognized by device manager, but it does not show up in the video resolution dialog window. I recently purchased an XFX R9 280x, however, I can't seem to get it to work. I use the 460 for my monitor, and the 6850 for a little mining. I have running two graphics cards, Nvidia GTX460 and AMD HD6850 on Windows 7 sp1.
